答案：致死合成，指按照代谢拮抗的原理，设计与生物体内代谢物的结构有相似性的化合物，可与基本代谢物竞争，或掺入生物大分子的合成之中形成伪生物大分子，影响细胞的生长。导致致死合成（Lethal Synthesis），抗代谢物的设计多采用生物电子等排原理（Bioisosterism）。例如磺胺类药物的作用机理就是药物与对氨基苯甲酸竞争二氢蝶酸合成酶，掺入到细菌自身合成四氢叶酸的过程中，导致致死合成。
